Department of Zoology

Department of Zoology started as part of Biology Department in 1948. The department was bifurcated from the Botany department and in 1966 established as an independent department of Zoology. Department offers teaching of B.Sc. (Hons) in Zoology course and Zoology subsidiary. Intermidiate level classes were discontinued in 2008 under the policy decision of Govt.of Bihar. Along with quality teaching the department offers good facility of books through a seminar library and well equipped laborotary. The department organizes educational tours for the students as well. Students result in the final university examination are excellent. A good number of girls go for higher education to different branches like microbiology, biotechnology, biochmistry at national universites. Students actively participate in the extracurricular and cocurricular of the college and university.
