Highlights of the Department
The department of Urdu started in 1946 with introduction of Intermediate Education in Arts. Mrs. Quraisha Hussain was the founder Head of the Department and she was also elevated as the Principal of the college. Subsequently Dr. Akhatar Jahan and Dr. Syeda Begum took charge as respective heads. Dr. Suraj Deo Singh is the present head of the Department.
