The college follows the CBCS pattern to meet the global, national, regional, and local developmental needs of the students. CBCS was introduced in the 2022-23 session as per UGC guidelines and NEP in the 2023-24 session in UG programmes which offered greater flexibility in delivering multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary education. Additionally, students are engaged in co-curricular activities like NCC, NSS and Sports etc
The UG and PG students are engaged in experiential learning, case studies, group discussion, presentation, seminars, workshops, MOOCS and problem-solving approaches, to boost their experience and value-based education. Blended and flipped classrooms are also implemented to foster dynamic learning environments. The college offers various student support services, such as the library, computer lab, reading rooms, and ICT-enabled classrooms, all aimed at enhancing the learning experience. ICT, LAN, LCDs, K-Yans, Smart Boards, multimedia projectors, interactive boards, virtual classrooms, CCTV cameras, and Wi-Fi facilities. To support learning, platforms like YouTube, email, WhatsApp, Telegram, Zoom, and Google Classroom are regularly used for communication and distributing materials. Students are also encouraged to register for MOOCs (SWAYAM & NPTEL) and take part in the associated exams.
The College Central Library, named ‘Medha Knowledge Centre,’ is automated with subsystems like LAN connectivity, Wi-Fi (100 Mbps internet connection), and a library management system (KOHA / e-Granthalaya software) from INFLIBNET. The digital library is provided to students, giving them a competitive edge for placement, higher studies, and global challenges.
Our students excel in final examinations, with more than 90% pass percentages. Many of them have been employed in good positions in the fields of education, research, administration, judiciary, banking, corporate jobs, entrepreneurship, politics and so on.
Our students excel in university examinations, around 74 percent of gold medalists are from our college .
For the efficient operation of webinars, online seminars, and teaching-learning assessment procedures, the school has created and developed its own unique learning management system. This has made it possible for the institution to use blended learning strategies, which have opened the door for staff and student capacity building.
The bridge course is offered for fifteen days to help students adjust and familiarize themselves with the new system of education
The college also offers remedial classes to aspiring students preparing for national-level competitive examinations like NET, JRF, CSIR, and PSC. Additionally, the progress of all students is monitored through the Guardian Mentor Register.
The incubation centre of the college promotes the entrepreneurship skills of the students. Several start-up ventures are taken up under its aegis. The students of BBA were given the opportunity to visit the Amul factory, Patna as part of their internship. The Face-to-face interaction with the professional would provide insight and hands-on experience to students.
Several training programs are organised by the training and placement cell for the overall personality development of the students. They also take care of the placements of the students. The mentor-mentee system helps the teachers to interact with the students and resolve their issues keeping in view the programme outcome.
The college also provides incentives to the gold medalist. This enables them to pursue higher studies.
Regular feedback is collected from the students to improve teaching Learning methods. The results are analysed to identify the slow and advanced learners. Special classes are organised to cater the needs of the slow learners. The Bachelor of Computer Science Department of the college provides a 45-day certificate course in computer application to all students to provide a basic understanding of data feeding and working with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
To empower the students, the college runs many value-added and skill-based courses like a Certificate Course in Computer Application, Certificate Course in German Language Proficiency, a Certificate Course in English Language Proficiency, Certificate Course in Hindi Language Proficiency, Certificate Course in Jute Art, Craft and Design, Certificate Course in Madhubani Painting, Certificate Course in IT Skill Development in Graphics and Web Designing, Certificate Course in Office Management, Certificate Course in Health and Dietetics, Certificate Course in Health and Beauty Care, Certificate Course in Japanese Language and Culture, Certificate Course in Block Printing, Certificate Course in Tikuli Art, Certificate Course in SPSS and Origin .
